TEN TIPS FOR HOME STAGING

2. Pay attention to first impressions. As someone walks up to and through your front door, she is going to form an opinion that will affect how she sees the home.
3. Declutter declutter declutter. Eighty percent of staging is editing.
4. Depersonalize. Take down your family pictures. People want to picture THEMSELVES in the home.
5. Clean clean clean.
6. Repair those pesky little things, like squeaky door handles. What costs you $400 to repair could otherwise cause a $4000 reduction in the sale price.
7. Paint with neutral colors. Use off-whites with warm undertones.
8. Cut down on the furnishings. Keep a minimal amount of furniture so your rooms will look more spacious. Store the rest elsewhere.
9. Lights: bright and sunny interiors are more appealing.
10. Arrange furniture to best advantage. Place your sofas so you can see the view.
After all is said and done, all you need are some buyers who fall in love with your space and location!
